Research interests

I am primarily interested in research on cooperative behavior. When and how is cooperation succesfully established and maintained? When is cooperation efficient and beneficial? How can cooperation be sustained and supported? My current research project focuses on ambiguity in cooperation norms. The overarching question in this project is: what happens to cooperation on an individual and collective level when multiple, contradictory, cooperation norms exist?

Keywords: cooperation, normative behavior, social dilemmas, game theory, experimental sociology
